Tom Brady brilliantly deflates NFL in new ad

Technically Incorrect: Hundreds of thousands have already enjoyed the New England quarterback sniping cleverly in a new Foot Locker ad.

Technically Incorrect offers a slightly twisted take on the tech that's taken over our lives.

He's still not happy with the NFL.

As happens in our modern, backward times, Tom Brady had science on his side and still lost.

You might remember the New England Patriots quarterback being accused of having footballs deflated to his favored and lower-than-legal pressure during 2014-15 NFL playoffs. Brady and the Patriots said the balls deflated naturally in the New England chill; the NFL thought differently.

Nobel Prize-winning chemist Roderick MacKinnon defended Brady. Still the NFL suspended the quarterback for four games.

Now he is enjoying a subtle, amusing revenge.

In a new ad for retailer Foot Locker, Brady is sitting in a café. Which is exactly what you'd expect the famously fastidious eater to be doing.

In walk two young men who have just shopped at Foot Locker. They are supremely excited about Foot Locker's 5th annual Week of Greatness. Oh, don't ask. It's just another store promotion.

More importantly, they are confronted by Brady who has overheard one of them say: "How is it possible that it keeps getting better after all these years?" and his friend reply: "Kinda makes you wonder what Foot Locker's up to."

The very handsome quarterback rails against this suspicious mindset.

"Just because something's great year after year doesn't mean anything's going on," he sniffs.

No, he hasn't forgotten the injustice. When one of the stunned young men explains it was just a question, Brady rails: "It starts with questions and then questions turn into assumptions and then assumptions turn into...vacation."

The last word is spat with a gloriously elevated venom.

This is beautifully scripted with several lines that the NFL might find offensive. It's extremely well played by Brady. Perhaps that's why more than 800,000 people have already enjoyed in on YouTube with a mere 72 giving it a thumbs-down.

On Sunday, Brady plays in San Francisco. He ought to have the last laugh there too.
