Massachusetts-based CannaKorp will soon have a machine for weed users that emulates the Keurig coffee pod experience with capsules filled by legally authorized growers. The machine then vaporizes the contents for consumption.
The company, which has a former vice president of Keurig Green Mountain, Dave Manly, as its chairman, plans to launch the CannaCloud early next year. However, sales will be limited to states in the US that have legalized the use of pot.
The CannaCloud is expected to retail for around $149 (around £100 and AU$205). Marijuana is quickly growing to a big business, with celebs such as Whoopi Goldberg and Snoop Dogg launching their own brands while weed delivery businesses also sprang up last year.
