The real 2015 isn't so great in this 'Back to the Future' parody

In this clip from College Humor, Marty McFly and Doc Brown travel ahead to 2015, only to find the future is actually a pretty bleak place.

What would Marty McFly and Doc Brown think if they traveled to the real 2015 instead of the futuristic version depicted in the "Back to the Future" trilogy? A new parody video from the folks at College Humor explores.

In the animated clip, posted Wednesday, we see Marty and Doc arriving in 2015, only to be greatly disappointed by just how un-futuristic it seems.

There are no hoverboards whizzing around, just those funky, definitely-less-cool self-balancing electric scooters. And when Marty suggests collecting some trash to put into the DeLorean's fusion reactor, he's dismayed to learn that cars of the future are still stuck running on fossil fuels.

What's more, instead of the self-lacing sneakers Marty was impressed with in the movies, those of us living in the real 2015 are stuck with Crocs. And that's just the start of the dorky 2015 fashion trends like skinny jeans, plaid shirts and strange sunglasses Marty must wear to fit in.

"Back to the Future" is everywhere right now, as October 21, 2015, marks the day Marty McFly and Doc Brown landed in the future in "Back to the Future II."

Needless to say, in the above clip, our time traveling duo could do without our 2015. Maybe they should come back in another 30 years.
