First teaser trailer for Marvel's 'Daredevil' brings the action

Netflix and Marvel have just shown off a full-length teaser trailer for their upcoming series "Daredevil," and it looks to be dark, smart and full of action.

We're just two months away from watching the man without fear on Netflix, and the first teaser trailer for the 13-episode Marvel series has us incredibly excited for what looks to be an amazing show.

For the uninitiated, "Daredevil" is about a blind lawyer named Matt Murdoch (played by "Boardwalk Empire" star Charlie Cox) who transforms into the superhero crime-fighter Daredevil at night.

Murdoch is blind, but his other four senses have been supernaturally enhanced to compensate. He uses them to detect things like minute changes in heart rate or temperature, enabling him to better sense the world around him. Additionally, he has the strength, speed, endurance and acrobatic skills of an Olympic-level athlete, whilst being an expert at a martial arts technique that mixes American boxing with the Japanese arts of ninjutsu, judo and aiki-jujutsu.

"Daredevil" features Vincent D'Onofrio as the bad guy named the Kingpin. Rosario Dawson and Deborah Ann Woll will also play roles. The series is the first of four Marvel shows to debut exclusively on Netflix as opposed to broadcast TV, with the superheroes Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage each getting their own spin-offs starting in 2015. After that, all four heroes will join forces to take on baddies as the super-team "The Defenders" in a Netflix miniseries.

The "Daredevil" trailer, which you can watch above, is dark, smart and action-packed, and has us incredibly excited to learn more about what's to come in the series. All 13-episodes of "Daredevil" will be released at midnight on April 10 in all areas Netflix is available, and you can bet most of us at Crave will be adding it to our queue.
