The Empire strikes backside with new 'Star Wars' skateboards

Skate or do not skate. There is no try. Grind through the galaxy with Luke Skywalker, Chewbacca, R2-D2, C-3PO, Boba Fett and more with Santa Cruz Skateboards.

May the Frontside be with you. Lucasfilm

Catch air with your favorite "Star Wars" characters thanks to new designs from Santa Cruz Skateboards in collaboration with Lucasfilm.

Grab the decks and cruzer skateboards as either "Shred Ready" or a "Collector's Edition" which is packaged to look like a vintage toy complete with a blister pack, Certificate of Authenticity and a poster of the deck design.

Earlier this year, Santa Cruz released a "Star Wars" collection of decks that included design art of Darth Vader, Han Solo, slave Leia and Boba Fett, and cruzers of Yoda, Boba Fett, Chewbacca, Stormtrooper and Darth Vader.

This new "Star Wars" collection from Santa Cruz Skateboards and Lucasfilm include decks of Luke Skywalker, Chewbacca, Stormtrooper, and the droids R2-D2 and C-3PO. Other decks feature helmets from a TIE Fighter pilot, Stormtrooper, Boba Fett and Darth Vader.

The standout piece in the collection is the Boba Fett wood inlay deck. "The Fett graphic is constructed using laser cut Mapa Burl, Rustic Burl, Walnut Burl, Padoik and Ebony wood veneers that are then individually hand assembled," according to Santa Cruz's website. "These incredibly unique decks are laser serial numbered with matching numbered Certificates of Authenticity and encased in its own custom foil printed and embossed, foam lined display box."

The latest "Star Wars" collection is available to purchase now at the finer skateboard retailers around the world with additional offerings to follow in the 2014 holiday season and Spring 2015.
