The decadent Ducati debuts
2007 Ducati 1098 Superbike specs and U.S. pricing released
Why is it that when it comes to speed, all the best stuff seems to come out in Europe first? The latest example: The new 2007 Ducati 1098 Superbike, which was unveiled at the 2006 EICMA International Milan Motorbike Show in Italy.
The company announced U.S. and Canadian pricing for the new Ducati 1098 Superbike on its Web site last week. The 2007 Ducati 1098 Superbike will go for $14,999, the 1098 S for $19,995 and the limited edition 1098 S Tri-Color for $24,995.
The bike, whose body style is similar to the 916, makes 160 horsepower and weighs 381 pounds, according to Ducati specs released at EICMA. The 1098 will make its official U.S. debut at the Seattle International Motorcycle Show, December 1 through 3.
