Good news for Netflix subscribers who are fans of the CW Network's shows such as "Legends of Tomorrow" and "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend." The companies on Tuesday said "a new multiyear deal will allow Netflix to remain the exclusive US subscription TV service for previous seasons of scripted series broadcast on the CW."

The partnership includes all current CW series as well as future programs, and the deal starts with the season that just ended. Beginning with the 2016-2017 season, Netflix members will be able to binge-watch full seasons of CW shows eight days after a show's season finale, instead of after months. (Editors' note: The CW is a joint venture between Warner Bros. Entertainment and CBS, which also publishes CNET.)

The CW's shows available to Netflix members will include three new series: "Frequency," "No Tomorrow" and "Riverdale." Also arriving are hit DC series "Legends Of Tomorrow" and "Supergirl," which is moving from CBS to the CW next season. ("Arrow" and "The Flash," two other popular DC series, are already available on Netflix.) Also on the roster are "Jane The Virgin," "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend," "The Vampire Diaries," "Izombie," "The Originals" and "Reign."

The CW also has a streaming deal with Hulu, where users have access to a handful of episodes from a show's current season. That deal is set to end this year.

Netflix is the largest provider of streaming content, with more than 81 million members worldwide who stream more than 125 million hours of TV shows and movies a day.
