The 404 1,032: Where we get lucky with Morgan Spurlock (podcast)

The 404 chats with Morgan Spurlock about his newest film, "Comic Con Episode IV: A Fan's Hope" and his upcoming gallery exhibition on street art.

Sarah Tew/CNET

Our guest today is documentary filmmaker Morgan Spurlock, who joins us today to talk about his new film "Comic Con Episode IV: A Fan's Hope."

He'll tell us about what it was like to meet geek royalty like Joss Whedon, Stan Lee, Frank Miller, Kevin Smith, and more. We also ask him about his own history with comic books and how sci-fi movies pushed him to create his own movies.

Jeff and I love reading comics as well, so we'll all discuss how the comic publishing industry is shifting to digital comics and how it affects the way we read and collect.

We also want to know more about New Blood, an exhibit on street art that Morgan is curating at the Thinkspace Gallery in Culver City, California. It brings together established artists like Albert Reyes and Saber with their apprentices to highlight work from the next generation. The show kicks off April 28 and runs through May 19.

Be sure to follow Morgan Spurlock on Twitter and check out Comic Con Episode IV: A Fan's Hope, screening now in theaters across the country and on-demand!
