Tax time bumps "The Sims"

Playtime is over. After months at the top of retail software sales charts, computer game "The Sims" has been knocked off by tax-preparation packages. Intuit's TurboTax Deluxe and TurboTax were the top-selling software programs the week of Jan. 7 to Jan. 13, according to research firm PC Data. Block Financial's Tax Cut 2000 Deluxe came in third. "The Sims," which lets players create wacky families and neighborhoods, was bumped down to No. 6, behind Norton AntiVirus and Intuit's Quicken financial suite.
