James Bond is 'hunting, hunted and alone' in the full-length trailer for 'Spectre'

James Bond is back! See 007 in action in the new trailer for the upcoming film.

Ah, Mr. Bond -- I've been ex-Spectre-ing you. Yes, that excruciating pun can mean only one thing: James Bond is back, and he's "hunting, hunted and all alone" in the new trailer for his next adventure, "Spectre."

Once again starring Daniel Craig as Britain's deadliest secret agent, the new film will be the 24th in the blockbuster series of big-screen missions for the superspy code-named 007, created by author Ian Fleming in 1953. Craig's previous three outings have focused on reinventing the series, but "Spectre" is set to hark back to earlier films by featuring the first appearance of the titular syndicate of supervillains since 1971's "Diamonds Are Forever."

Helmed by Sam Mendes, who also directed the previous Bond movie, "Skyfall," "Spectre" also stars Monica Belluci, Léa Seydoux and Dave Bautista. Ralph Fiennes, Naomi Harris and Ben Whishaw return from "Skyfall", playing Bond's backups M, Moneypenny and Q.

Meanwhile Jesper Christensen reprises his role as the mysterious Mr. White from Craig's first films, "Casino Royale" and "Quantum of Solace". But the focus is on the shadowy baddie played by Christoph Waltz, who tells Bond, "I am the author of all your pain..."

"Spectre" explodes into theatres in the UK and Ireland on 23 October, and opens in other countries thereafter, including the US and Australia on 6 November. In the meantime, watch the trailer above.
