Sony buys "Twisted Metal" developer

Sony's U.S. video game division announced Monday that it has acquired developer Incog Entertainment, creator of the popular "Twisted Metal" car combat games published by Sony. Terms of the deal with Sony Computer Entertainment America were not disclosed.

Salt Lake City-based Incog currently is working on an online version of "Twisted Metal: Black," set for release at the end of this month. The game will be launched in conjunction with Sony's release of a broadband adapter and modem that will allow the PlayStation 2 game console to go online.
