Sonicblue, Samsung sign licensing deal
Sonicblue announced Monday that Samsung Electronics will license its dual-deck technology. Sonicblue holds patents for combination products, including VCR/VCR, DVD/VCR and DVD/digital video recorders. Samsung will incorporate the technology into future combination DVD/VCR products. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. On Thursday, Sonicblue said that it would be expanding its ReplayTV line of products to include lower-priced recorders that incorporate DVD player capabilities.
