Sonicblue licenses dual-deck technology

Sonicblue announced that it has granted consumer-electronics maker Thomson Multimedia a license to use Sonicblue's dual-deck technology in Thomson's RCA line of DVD/VCR combination products. Neither company would disclose the terms of the licensing agreement. The move is aimed at promoting widespread interest in the adoption of dual-deck products. Sonicblue uses similar technology in its line of Go-Video DVD/VCR players. Sonicblue previously licensed the same technology to LG Electronics and Samsung Electronics.
