SimpleTech Pro Duo now up to 3 terabytes

Fabrik's SimpleTech Pro Drive and Duo Pro Drive with RAID 0/1 now ship with a quad interface.

SimpleTech

I like external storage a little more than most people, so when I saw that SimpleTech by Fabrik announced its first 3TB two-drive RAID 0/1 device with four interfaces (eSATA, FireWire 800, FireWire 400, and USB 2.0) I nearly burst right here in my office. The company also announced a 1.5TB single-drive Pro model, in case you're the type who likes two enclosures at the same time. (I'm more a single-enclosure kinda guy.)

The Pro and Pro Duo drives, along with being flexible and easy to use, give you access to Fabrik's Ultimate Backup servers. You get a 2GB taste for free, but for a monthly service fee of $4.95 you can back up as much as you want, so you're never computing unprotected.

I can't wait to stick my cables in the Pro Duo's interfaces and fill it full of my data. Sadly, I must wait to get one as the 1.5TB Pro and 3TB Pro Duo versions won't be around till late Q4, and pricing hasn't been set yet either. If you can't satisfy yourself till then, you can pick up a Duo drive in 1TB, 1.5TB, and 2TB sizes now for $279.99, $419.99, and $549.99, respectively. Single-drive Pro versions are also available in 500GB ($159.99) 750GB ($209.99), and 1TB ($259.99) sizes.
