Short Take: Sony laptops to use AMD chips

Sony Electronics said it will use AMD processors for the first time in a new line of budget-priced Vaio notebook computers. The Vaio PCG-F610 and PCG-F630 will range in price from $1,400 to $1,700 and will use AMD's 550-Mhz K6-2 mobile processor. Both will include hardware and software for digital video editing.
