Short Take: Palm's PluggedIn@Palm to assist developers

Palm announced Wednesday its PluggedIn@Palm program, which is designed to support the more than 100,000 registered Palm developers and increase their number. The program will help developers create and launch new accessories and add-ons that expand the capabilities of Palm-based products. Today, more than 100 add-ons and peripherals exist, including wireless modems, infrared printers and voice recorders. The Kodak PalmPix digital camera is among the most popular peripherals. Many of the PluggedIn@Palm services are in place now, but a comprehensive set of tools and other assistance will arrive during the next several months.
