National Semiconductor said this week that it has created a $20 million charitable endowment to improve education in communities where it has a major presence. Santa Clara, Calif.-based National Semi plans to fund programs aimed at improving science, math and technology curriculum in K-12 classrooms, as well as supporting university programs related to technology. "Expanding our outreach is the right thing to do as we strive to give back to our communities," National Semi CEO Brian Halla said in a statement.
