Clothing retailer Gap said it appointed Steven Jobs to the 12-member board of the San Francisco-based company. Jobs, 44, is a co-founder of Apple Computer and currently serves as the company's interim chief executive. Jobs is also chief executive of the animation studio Pixar. Gap sells clothing, accessories, and personal-care products through more than 2,600 Gap, Banana Republic, and Old Navy stores.
