Amiga has announced a $99 software development kit that it says introduces a next-generation Amiga platform that can run under its own power or on top of another operating system. The Snoqualmie, Wash.-based firm said its applications can run on a variety of processors, including x86, PowerPC, ARM, MIPS and Hitachi SH3 and SH4 chips. Amiga programs can also run on versions of Linux, Windows, Windows CE and Mac OS 9 when the Amiga platform is run under those systems.
