Sherlock in Shanghai: Drink tea in a Holmes-themed cafe

Pretend Mrs. Hudson is making you a strong cuppa in this Sherlock Holmes-themed cafe called 221B Baker Street after the famous detective's home address.

The cafe, located at 50 Ruijin Er Lu in Shanghai, China, is jam-packed with art (mostly portraits of the BBC "Sherlock" actor Benedict Cumberbatch), as well as books and other knick-knacks celebrating the Great Detective in the funny hat.

It's no surprise the cafe is located in China, since the country recently called Cumberbatch its new "Sex God." When Season 3 of "Sherlock" debuted in China this year, on the video Web site Youku.com, it received more than 5 million views in the first two hours, according to Shanghai Daily.

The Sherlock-themed cafe features numerous pieces of art, including "Virtuoso," "A Study in Pink," and "Sherlock Holmes" by artist Alice X. Zhang.

The tablecloths are replica designs of Sherlock's living room wallpaper -- a fleur de lys motif within a trellis pattern, complete with yellow spray-painted happy face.

There's an anime drawing of Sherlock on the chalkboard welcoming visitors to the cafe, as well as cast photos of the actors from the BBC show. Even the menus say "I believe in Holmes." Plus, the cafe has deerstalker hats on hand in case customers want to pretend to be solving their own mysteries while drinking tea and coffee.

"Sherlock" fans who can't venture as far away as China to sip tea in Union Jack cups and saucers can always visit the London establishment Speedy's Sandwich Bar & Cafe as seen next to Sherlock's 221B Baker Street home on the hit BBC show.
