Save filtered photos from Facebook Camera to your Camera Roll

Creating a filtered photo using the Facebook Camera app and sharing it with Facebook is easy, but what if you want to share that same photo with another service?

If you have used the Facebook Camera app to apply a filter and upload a photo to your Facebook account, then later wanted to share that same photo with a friend via e-mail, or even post it on another social network, you've likely been discouraged to see the photo wasn't saved to your iPhone's Camera Roll.

You may have also noticed that tapping on the settings icon in the app reveals few options.

So how do you save a photo post-filter from the Facebook Camera? You can turn that feature on in the other settings.

Go back to the home screen of your iPhone, find the Settings icon, and tap on it. From there, scroll down to the third-party app settings. Find the Facebook Camera listing and tap on it.

There's the option to enable the saving of filtered photos, in the other settings, just like I told you. Why this option isn't available directly within the app is beyond me. Then again, Facebook has always used the Settings app to store the settings for its app.

Now once you make a photo look a million times better with a filter, and upload that photo via the Facebook Camera app, you'll find a copy of the photo saved in your iPhone's Camera Roll -- ready to be shared or used however you like.
