Samsung SCH-i760: smart phone shrouded in mystery

Samsung unveils the SCH-i760 smart phone at CES but with very little details.

Yesterday, CNET TV's Molly Wood gave you a first look of the Samsung SCH-i760 smart phone, and as you'll see from the video, Samsung didn't give too many details about the device. I met with the company today to see if I could weasel any info out of them, but they remained pretty tight-lipped about the whole thing. They did say it will run the Windows Mobile operating system, but they didn't say which version, which leads me to believe that it may run the next-gen OS, Crossbow. Some quick specs listed on a press release also reveals that it's a CDMA phone, so although they wouldn't tell us the carrier, it should either be Sprint or Verizon. They also said it would probably be available in the middle of the year. Other goodies on the i760 include a 1.3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0, 128MB ROM/64MB RAM, a Micro SD slot, push e-mail, and dedicated number keys on the exterior of the phone.
