We don't even know what the iTV is, and we'd still rather have that than an iPhone 5S. Luckily (unluckily?) for us, Apple might be releasing both next year.
The biggest rumor of the week insists that Apple is going to have a surprisingly exciting first quarter next year. We discuss whether it makes any sense to flout the patterns of history and release three brand-new devices at the start of the year so soon after the holidays and hot on the heels of the iPad 4 and iPhone 5 releases. Are you willing to bet on it? Vote in the polls in our interactive video player, and here in the blog post.
We also discuss a rumor about Facebook that Emily thinks is the epitome of creepy, and Karyne thinks could actually be useful. Plus, is Apple going to let its employees spend some free time on their own projects? Google already does this (to some great success), but we worry that the sheltered Apple engineers who have never been allowed to follow their hearts before won't know what to do with such freedom. Apple is a structured society -- can it function without the rigorous scaffolding of proper order? If it were up to us, we'd order all Apple engineers to put down the blueprints for that app and get back to work on the new Apple television!
No -- we kid. Rumor Has It is pro innovation, and definitely pro freedom.
Thanks for watching!
