Sometimes important letters need an extra boost of midi-chlorians to help them reach their destination in a galaxy not so far, far away.
This new set of first class "Star Wars" stamps from Royal Mail, the UK's national postal service company, features both the classic and brand new characters from the light side and the dark side of the Force.
The "Star Wars" stamp series includes portraits by British artist Malcolm Tween of nine well-known characters: Darth Vader, Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi, a Stormtrooper, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Emperor Palpatine, Luke Skywalker and Boba Fett.
New characters Kylo Ren, Rey and Finn from the upcoming movie "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" are also featured in the stamp set.
Fans can purchase the stamps in a variety of formats including the Character Stamp Set for £7.76 (about $12 or AU$17) and the Stamp Souvenir for £9.55 (about $15 or AU$21).
There's also the Stamp Sheet, which includes stamps of X-wing starfighters, AT-AT walkers, TIE fighters (new and classic) and the Millennium Falcon for £5 (about $8 or AU$11).
Royal Mail also offers two options for fans who would rather collect and display the stamps, instead of using them to send out letters.
The Framed Stamps item includes the 12 special stamps, which are individually mounted within a backdrop of Luke Skywalker on Tatooine, complete with the Star Wars logo, and is available to preorder for £55 (about $85 or AU$120).
Or get the Framed Stamp Sheet, which comprises the Stamp Sheet and all six vehicle stamps, individually mounted on a backdrop that features the epic X-wing attack on the Death Star for £55 (about $85 or AU$120). Both framed stamp options can be purchased together in an X-wing bundle for £99 (about $150 or AU$215).
All of the stamps can be preordered now on the Royal Mail site.
