Panasonic extends camera line

Electronics conglomerate Panasonic announced four new cameras in its Lumix line, in a partnership with high-end camera maker Leica. The Lumix DMC-F7 has a resolution of 2 megapixels and is set to go on sale in March for $500. The 3.9-meagapixel DMC-LC40 and DMC-LC5 will be available in March at prices of $700 and $900, respectively. The 2-megapixel DMC-LC20 is due in April for $350. All the cameras have Leica lenses and use memory cards in the Secure Digital format.
