Palm offers Tungsten W update

Handheld maker Palm on Monday announced a software update for its Tungsten W wireless handheld. The update adds a dozen new features, Palm said, including the ability to lock the device's keyboard and improved readability when browsing Web pages or sending e-mail.

The Tungsten W is among Palm's latest crop of wireless devices and runs on GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) networks. Palm started selling the device in February.
