If you or your friends use more than a couple of sites for storing photos, it can be hard to keep track of them all. To keep memories from slipping away, Pictarine lets you organize and view photos from all over the Web in one place. Here's how to use it:
- Go to Pictarine and set up a free account.
- Add your photo services. This is usually as easy as clicking on the name of the service and then clicking Allow, but you do sometimes need to enter your credentials.
Step 2: Add services to Pictarine. Rob Lightner/CNET - Once you've got your services set up, you should see a line for each one on the left sidebar under Me. Click any one of them to examine the photos from that service.
- You should also have a long list of Contacts. Select any one of them to view their photos. (Note that your Facebook fan pages are also listed; this can get annoying, but isn't really a deal-breaker.)
- While viewing photos, you can comment on them, like them, and save them to your local hard drive using the menu on the left.

Step 5: View photos in Pictarine. Rob Lightner/CNET - You can also create your own slideshows, or "playlists" in Pictarine's jargon. Each photo lets you add to a playlist, or you can use the drop-down menu on any folder to add all pics within to the same playlist.

Rob Lightner/CNET - You can add contacts to a favorites list if they are already Pictarine users; if they aren't, just click the Invite to Pictarine button in the upper right to get then going. UPDATE: You can add any contact to your favorites, regardless of their membership status. Just click the faint star next to their name on the list.
That's it! Pictarine is still fairly new, and is still adding features and photo services, so we can expect more from them in the coming months.
