Ohio State marching band soars with superhero tribute

The famed group known for its elaborate halftime shows brought out some big names from the Marvel and DC universes to tackle villains. Including you, Michigan Wolverines.

It's a bird, it's a plane, it's a saxophone player. The Ohio State marching band paid tribute to superheroes from both the Marvel and DC Comics universes on Saturday when the football Buckeyes took on Nebraska at home in Columbus.

We won't spoil it for you, but watch the video to spot Thor, Superman, Batman, Captain America, the Avengers logo, Iron Man, the Hulk and more. OSU's arch-rival, the Michigan Wolverines, came in for a little on-field bashing too -- every superhero needs a nemesis, after all. But our favorite scene was when a stick-figure Spider-Man swung from web-to-web across the field. With great power comes great flexibility, apparently.

In the end, it turns out the Nebraska team were the ones who could've used some superpowers. The Cornhuskers were stomped by the Buckeyes, 62-3. Holy embarrassment, Batman!
