What better way to celebrate the the Joker's 75th birthday than to reveal his new look from the upcoming movie "Suicide Squad?"

We finally get to see actor Jared Leto as the Joker from the forthcoming movie via director David Ayer, who tweeted: "The Suicide Squad wishes you a Happy Anniversary Mr. J!"

The tattoos of "Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha" and "Damaged," among others, reveal a side of the Joker that's anything but subtle.

UPDATED Monday April 27: Though according to Moviepilot.com, the tattoos might not be what we see in the movie, but merely a publicity shot to celebrate the Joker's 75th anniversary in comics.

Aside from that, the Joker's also got an impressive grille. His familiar green hair is still there, and he's even wearing a purple glove in reference to his signature plum garb.

This isn't the first radical new look for the crown prince of crime, who was created by Jerry Robinson, Bill Finger and Bob Kane for his first appearance in Batman #1 on 25 April 1940. In recent comics, the Joker's bleached-white visage was horrifyingly removed, while Christopher Nolan's "Dark Knight Returns" took a more realistic route with actor Heath Ledger delivering a chilling turn under grimy white make-up and a layer of mysterious scars.

This is the first time we've seen a "Suicide Squad" member in character, but it isn't the first time Ayer has given fans a look at his ensemble cast. On April 8, the director tweeted a photo of the actors assembled together -- all except Leto, the look of the Joker staying under wraps until now.
