The middle of the week is usually the time when we start thinking about the weekend, but you don't want to miss these stories, so hold off on the beach dreams for a few and hang out with us. Here's what we're chatting about today:
The European Space Agency used Italian astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti's collection of photos taken during her stay at the International Space Station, stitched them together, and created a fabulous 360-degree tour for us non-astronauts to experience. It's interactive, too, so you can click on various points of interest while looking around and learn more about specific parts of the station.
Oculus Story Studio released its second film this week. It's a cute little animated VR short called "Henry," the story of a spiky hedgehog who just wants to give out hugs. Oculus says this short film will be available for free to anyone who purchases an Oculus Rift headset when they hit retail shelves in Q1 2016.
Lastly, NASA and a drone delivery startup company (Flirtey) made history a couple weeks ago by successfully completing the first legal drone delivery tests here in the United States. Surprisingly, Amazon Air was not involved in this test, but the concept of delivering medical kits via drone to those in need is one we're behind 100 percent.
