If you thought Sony's JumboTron television at Times Square was huge, take a look at the latest large LED display from Panasonic. With a diagonal measurement of 2,584.9 inches, this monstrosity claims to be the "world's largest high-definition video board."
Of course, larger displays don't always require the highest definition since audiences aren't going to be watching them up close, so this 200x80-foot display only does 720p. That gives it an approximate pixel density of 0.57 pixels per inch. That means a single pixel is less than 2 inches across.
The display was manufactured and assembled by Panasonic and took 11,000 man hours to assemble, which is impressive considering its 74.8-ton final weight. To commemorate its official launch at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina, Nascar driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. thought it'd be nice to play a racing game on it.
