Nikon announced a new midrange digital camera Friday. The Coolpix 4300 captures images at resolution of up to 4 megapixels, has a 3X zoom lens and a streamlined interface for one-click transfer of images from the camera to a PC. The camera uses CompactFlash memory cards and is set to go on sale next month at $500.
