Grab your corsets and 19th-century formal wear. Sony Pictures' new trailer for "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" tells how the zombie apocalypse came to 19th century England.
It's a tale of love, romance and...zombies?
Sony Pictures released yet another trailer for "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" on Tuesday that shows how 19th-century England fell into chaos as the dead rose from the ground and started to feed.
"It began with the Black Plague," begins the trailer. "The dead began to rise. Now, we must bring the fight to them."
And fight they will. In the trailer, we see the civilized Elizabeth Bennet and her sisters fighting their way through the horde of the undead with knives, guns and all sorts of other weapons that they can only hope will help them survive the outbreak.
The movie stars Lily James (Lady Rose of "Downton Abbey") as Elizabeth Bennet, and has an all-star cast that includes the geeky likes of "Doctor Who" alum Matt Smith as Mr. Collins as well as "Game of Thrones" stars Lena Headey and Charles Dance as Lady Catherine de Bourgh and Mr. Bennet, respectively.
With so many franchise tie-ins with cast members from "Doctor Who" and "Game of Thrones" -- not to mention a slew of zombies to wreak havoc on 19th-century Britain -- I personally can't wait to see "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" when it lands in theaters next year.
Fortunately, that wait won't be terribly long. The film is slated for release on February 5 in the US and February 12 in the UK. An Australia release date has yet to be revealed.
