New 'Daredevil' season 2 teaser brings destruction back to Hell's Kitchen

Matt Murdock might have thought his work was complete at the end of the first season of "Daredevil," but new villains are coming to bring chaos in season 2.

Kingpin may have been bested, but Matt Murdock's mission to save Hell's Kitchen from those who would bring harm to New York is just beginning.

Netflix released a new trailer for the upcoming second season of Marvel's "Daredevil" on Thursday, giving fans of the show a taste of what's to come.

Unlike the previous teaser, Thursday's trailer has no new footage from the season, and seems intended to give viewers a recap of the events of the first season followed by a brief look at what new troubles Daredevil will face.

The company also released a promotional poster for the upcoming season on Thursday, giving a first look at dozens of characters from the second season of "Daredevil."

An attorney by day, Matt Murdock was blinded in a childhood accident and uses his heightened other senses to fight crime at night as the vigilante Daredevil. (Actor Charlie Cox plays both roles.) We already know who the main new characters are for season 2: Frank Castle, aka The Punisher (played by Jon Bernthal), and Elektra Natchios, Daredevil's former college lover who has both helped and fought Daredevil at various times in her story arc. Elektra is played by Elodie Yung.

Thursday's trailer is a good refresher for those looking to catch up on the series before season 2 returns to Netflix. All 13 episodes are set to land on Netflix worldwide on March 18.

Update, 10:30 a.m. PT: Netflix's new Daredevil poster has been added to this story.
