Musical computer drives play an eerie 'Sound of Silence'

This cover of Simon and Garfunkel's classic song is made with moving parts of computer drives and is anything but silent.

Recently, YouTuber Arganalth filled a suitcase with floppy and hard disk drives configured to play music.

His first suitcase symphony covered the " Back to the Future" theme song.

Now he's chosen a piece for his noisy little drives to play that's more poignant, "The Sound of Silence" by singer-songwriter folk rock duo Simon and Garfunkel.

Listen to hear the drives play this iconic folk-rock song, originally released in 1964.
