Last month we complained that Alltel was being stingy with review models of the new Motorola Evoke QA4. Unfortunately, our griping did no good as we still haven't been able to take a good look at the touch-screen slider phone that debuted at CTIA.

Luckily, we got a nice note from Cricket Wednesday telling us a review model is on its way. Cricket will launch the phone Thursday for $299 ($279 if you buy online). Yes, that is a a little expensive, but keep in mind that you're getting the phone contract-free.
