The software giant revealed its PC game plans through next year as part of its International Games Festival, a media and promotional event in Las Vegas.
Upcoming titles include
"Rise of Nations," an empire-building game similar to the popular "Civilization" series and created by "Civilization 2" designer Brian Reynolds. Release is set for spring of next year.
"Age of Mythology," a strategy game based on the "Age of Empires" series involving creatures based on Greek, Norse and Egyptian mythology. The game will go on sale this fall.
"Asheron's Call 2," the sequel to the popular online role-playing game, which will begin beta testing this fall.
"Combat Flight Simulator 3," a World War II version of Microsoft's popular flying series, scheduled for release this fall.
"Zoo Tycoon: Dinosaur Digs," a sequel to the zoo-management game that adds prehistoric creatures. The game is set to go on sale this May.
"Links 2003," the latest entry in Microsoft's series of golf games, set to arrive in stores this fall.
