Longtime partners Microsoft and Hewlett-Packard are a planning a new tie-up.
Though details are limited so far, the two companies released a brief media advisory that there will be a joint teleconference Wednesday morning regarding an expanded partnership. Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer and HP Chairman and CEO Mark Hurd will both be on the call, along with Bob Muglia, president of Microsoft's Server and Tools Business, and Dave Donatelli, executive vice president and general manager of HP's Enterprise Servers and Networking, Enterprise Business.
The four will take questions about "new, significant investments the two companies are making to help customers and partners prepare for the future of business computing."
The two giants of software and computing hardware have a 25-year-long history of partnerships on a variety of levels.
