The iPad lends itself to be a household device, meaning it's more likely to be shared by family members in the same house than an iPhone.
As such, Facebook has included a key feature in the iPad version of its app: the ability to quickly change accounts within the app. If you have never logged out of the Facebook app on your iPad, odds are you have no idea this feature is even there.
- Open the side menu in the Facebook app and scroll to the bottom. Select Log Out.
- You will then be presented with a large thumbnail of your profile picture, indicating your account info (sans password) has been saved in the app. In the lower-right corner you will see two options: Edit and Add Account. Tap on Add Account to add an additional account to the app.
- Log in to the additional account.

Once you log in and add the new account(s), you can switch to another account by logging out like we did in the first step. After you are logged out, you can then select the picture for the account you would like to access. You will only be asked to enter the password to log in to the account.
If you decide you need to delete an account, visit the log-in page and tap on Edit. A familiar X will show up on each thumbnail; tap on it to delete that specific account.
If you get in the habit of logging out of your Facebook account each time you are done using the app on your family iPad, you will ensure that your account remains private while still allowing other family members to take advantage of the official app.
