Loss shrinks for PhotoWorks

PhotoWorks posted a smaller loss than last year on declining revenue for its fiscal first quarter that ended Dec. 29, the photo services company announced Wednesday. The company reported a net loss of $167,000, or 1 cent per share, compared with $3 million, or 8 cents a share, in the same quarter a year ago. Net revenue was $11.1 million for the quarter, compared with $15 million a year ago. PhotoWorks offers printing, developing, online archiving and other services for digital photographs and traditional film.
