Logitech has introduced a new 720p Webcam that's designed for portability.
Logitech's just added another model to its growing HD Webcam line, and this one brings a new twist.
Due out later this month in the U.S. and in Europe and Asia in September, the HD Webcam C615 features a "fold-and-go" design, 720p video calling (1080p video capture), autofocus, and 360-degree swivel rotation.
Logitech's touting the C615 as a rather flexible Webcam that can do birthday parties or business trips and is compatible with Macs and Windows PCs, as well all the major video chatting programs, including Skype, FaceTime for Mac, Logitech Vid HD, Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, iChat, and AOL Instant Messenger (AIM).
The C615 also shares well, with one-click HD video and photo upload to Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter. Logitech throws in a 3-foot USB cable with an extender, and the Webcam is tripod-ready (no mini tripod is included, however).
Still-image shots? Sure, all you want at 8 megapixels.
The HD Webcam C615 lists for $79.99, which make it a midrange Webcam. That said, you can get Logitech's high-end 1080p C910 Webcam ($99.99 list) for closer to $75 online, so we expect to see this selling for around $60. We should get a review sample in soon.
