Logitech tips new G-Series PC gaming peripherals

New gaming mouse, keyboard, and headset from Logitech.

Logitech's G-Series gets three new members this month, by way of a new mouse, a new keyboard, and a new gaming headset. None of them is cheap. The most affordable product, the Gaming Mouse G700, coming in lowest at $99. On the other side of the price bracket, the Wireless Gaming Headset G930 will set you back $159. The $119 Gaming Keyboard G510 fills out the middle.

For the mouse, Logitech has married the ergonomic curves of its high-end MX luxury mice with the 1,000MHz response laser sensor common to many upper-tier gaming mice. The Gaming Mouse G700 also has more buttons than we're used to (although we've seen worse), with four thumb-side buttons, and 13 programmable buttons in total. Logitech has opted for a wireless design with the G700, along with a wired-option via the USB charging cable. It hits stores by the end of this month.

Logitech's new keyboard should also look familiar to anyone who's followed Logitech's previous G-series products. The Gaming Keyboard G510 provides an updated take on Logitech's popular LCD-equipped G15 keyboards. The macro-making crowd will appreciate that, like the original G15, the new G510 comes with a bank of 18 customizable "G" keys. Unlike that behemoth of a typing device, the new model also takes a cue from the G15 Revision 2, which had a smaller footprint than the original model (in that case at the expense of two-thirds of the extra keys). Look for the G510 in September.

Finally, Logitech extends its gaming headset line beyond the already expensive G35 with the new Wireless Gaming Headset G930. We suspect the higher price has to do with the new model's wireless design. Like the wired version, the G930 features 7.1 surround sound, a noise-canceling microphone, and a set of its own programmable G buttons. Logitech says the headset goes on sale this month.
