Let Ichabod Crane of 'Sleepy Hollow' guide you home

Don't let the Headless Horseman lead you astray! The Waze app offers the voice of "Sleepy Hollow" actor Tom Mison, as Ichabod Crane, for a special navigation promotion through Halloween.

Listen to Ichabod Crane's driving directions and you could end up at your destination, or fighting the Headless Horseman. Your call. Waze

It's not always a good idea to get directions to a real-life place from a fictional person, but if you're a fan of Ichabod Crane (played expertly by British actor Tom Mison) on the hit supernatural thriller "Sleepy Hollow" on Fox, you can let the show's persnickety and rather techno-phobic character lead the way to your desired destination via Waze.

Waze users who want to opt for Mison's voice as the recently resurrected 250-year-old British school teacher and Revolutionary War turncoat only have to update their app by going to Settings, then Sound and selecting "English (US) - Ichabod."

According to one Waze user who blogged about the "Sleepy Hollow" option Ichabod has quite a few entertaining ways of turning a phrase. He refers to the car as a carriage and instead of saying "in one-tenth of a mile," he says "in naught point one mile."

The user also revealed that "if someone in the Waze app has reported that there are cops, he says: 'Vigilance! Constables have been sighted ahead.'"

The special marketing campaign ends October 31, also known to us mere mortals as Halloween. So if you want Ichabod Crane to help you get to an unfamiliar locale, hurry up before time runs out. Considering that the character has only recently learned to drive a car on the show, follow him at your own peril. Then again, he has saved us all from impending doom, so chances are Ichabod will get you where you need to go.

And if you really want to get into the spirit of Halloween, here are a few "Sleepy Hollow" masks -- including one of Crane -- to download. Just don't wear them while driving!
