Kiosks to use OS X upgrade
Nanonation, a company that develops Internet-enabled kiosks and digital entertainment systems, announced on Monday the release of a design that uses Apple Computer's Mac OS X version 10.1, the recently released upgrade to the next-generation operating system. The kiosk design from the Lincoln, Neb.-based company supports applications such as QuickTime, Flash, Java and video streaming for both pay-to-play digital entertainment systems and retail kiosks. Frank Mayer & Associates, a display manufacturer, will build the public-access kiosks.
