Tidal to live stream Kanye West music video premier

The official music video for the song "Famous" will debut at an event in Los Angeles that will be live-streamed exclusively via Tidal.

Kanye West owns part of the streaming music service Tidal. Here he is earlier this month at the Powerhouse show in Anaheim, California.

Kanye West loves a grand reveal.

He debuted his new album, "The Life of Pablo," earlier this year at a sold-out event held at New York City's Madison Square Garden. The event doubled as a fashion show for his Yeezy clothing line and was live-streamed on Tidal, the music streaming service he co-owns with fellow superstars Jay Z and Beyonce.

Now he's doing something similar for the debut of the first music video from "The Life of Pablo." Though a hilarious, unofficial version featuring comedians Aziz Ansari and Eric Wareheim is floating around, the official music video for his song, "Famous," will premier at the LA Forum at 7 p.m. PT Friday and it will be live-streamed on Tidal for non-subscribers and subscribers alike.

After the premier, the music video will be a Tidal exclusive for one week. Kanye himself isn't slated to perform, but tickets for the event still appear to be sold out (none are available when you search Ticketmaster).
