'I like it the old way': Ray Parker Jr. on new 'Ghostbusters' theme song

The man behind the original "Ghostbusters" theme song says he wishes someone had called him to work with Fall Out Boy on the new version.

When it's time to make a theme song for the new "Ghostbusters" movie, who you gonna call?

Apparently, not Ray Parker Jr.

The singer, who penned the theme for the original 1984 "Ghostbusters" movie, told Inside Edition that he would've liked to work with pop-punk band Fall Out Boy on the new version of the classic tune.

"I'm not going to say it's good or bad," Parker said in the video, which was posted to YouTube on Friday. "I'm just gonna say that I'm an old guy now, and I like it the old way."

Fall Out Boy's take, called "Ghostbusters (I'm Not Afraid)," features more rock-heavy music and a guest appearance from rapper/producer Missy Elliot. RCA Records, which produced the new "Ghostbusters" soundtrack, didn't immediately return a request for comment.
