I am Groot, made with a chainsaw

Artist Griffon Ramsey carefully and skillfully carved a wooden sculpture of the lovable Groot from "Guardians of the Galaxy" out of Eastern Red Cedar. Sadly, this Groot doesn't dance.

Griffon Ramsey makes incredible detailed wooden sculptures. But while many artists who deal with wood use utility knives or chisels as their primary creation tool, Ramsey opts for the much more powerful chainsaw.

Ramsey's latest creation is an awesome sculpture of Groot from the box office megahit "Guardians of the Galaxy," and in the video at the top of this post, Ramsey gives us an intimate look at how she made it. Not only does Griffon use the chainsaw to carve the outline for Groot out of the massive tree she used for the sculpture, she also uses it to make the fine cuts that give Groot skin textures and other small details.

The final product is pretty impressive, and it's amazing that most of the work was done with a massive power tool. If you just have to have Ramsey's wooden Groot sculpture for yourself, she's selling him on her online store for $875 (about £544 AU$993), plus shipping costs (depending on speed).
