Hungry for a pile of bacon? Get it delivered, now

For four days, a San Francisco-based startup will bring high-quality bacon to you. On. Demand. Think of it as your own personal bacon delivery service.

Mmm, bacon-y. BloomThat

There are people sitting in San Francisco Bay Area bars right now watching the World Cup and desperately craving bacon. Lucky for them, it's easy to get some of the salty stuff without moving an inch. For a little while at least, floral delivery startup BloomThat, with the help of food truck Bacon Bacon, will deliver salty meaty goodness right to your door (or bar stool).

The Wallace
This is not bacon. BloomThat

Founded in 2013 and backed by Y Combinator, BloomThat offers curated bouquets of fresh flowers, which it delivers to specific pockets of the Bay Area within 90 minutes, seven days a week.

But starting Thursday and running through Sunday, June 15, it's going the bacon route and sending some sizzle to someone special. And yes, that someone special can most definitely be you.

For $15, the company's arranged for the Bacon Bacon truck to deliver six strips of high-quality cured bacon (including one chocolate-covered piece!) to anyone located in San Francisco, Oakland, Palo Alto, Berkeley, Mountain View, Piedmont, Menlo Park, Woodside, Sunnyvale, and Los Altos.

Some of you may have already figured out how to have bacon brought to you while you sit around in your pajamas, but I haven't. Sorry folks not in the San Francisco Bay Area, this neat bacon delivery service is all ours. Here's hoping the idea hits the rest of the world, fast, and brings sizzling hot bacon next time.
