If you spend a lot of time perusing sites like eBay or Craigslist, you know what a pain it is to open each individual link for a sale to take a look at the pictures and information. Whether you open the link in your current tab and press Back often, or are a multi-browser-tab master, there has to be a better way to do this, right? Google found a better way by incorporating previews into its search results, so why not use that same idea across the entire Web? That's where the ezLinkPreview extension for Chrome comes in handy. Basically, you can see what the link leads to in a small overlay area within your current tab. This is an amazingly fast way to look at a bunch of sale links by mousing over them.
Head to the ezLinkPreview Chrome extension page, and click on Add to Chrome. Once installed, you're ready to start browsing multiple-link Web sites a lot faster. Open one of your favorite Web sites to shop (it doesn't have to be eBay or Craigslist), and then mouse over a link for something you'd like to see. A small button will pop up to the right of the link labeled "EZ." Click on the button and you'll enable the link overlay previews.
Scrolling, selecting text, or even opening the preview in a new tab are all possible because the overlay acts just like an opened page. Previews can be moved to a new location, resized, zoomed in and out, searched, or even pinned in place. If you want to close an overlay preview, simply press the Escape key. Check out the extension's page in the Chrome Web Store for a full list of features.
