How to get the new YouTube layout right now

YouTube has been rolling out its new design to users. If you don't want to wait for the design to show up, follow the steps in this post to enable it right now.

The new YouTube design is slowly rolling out to users, but if you aren't the waiting kind, there is a way to enable it right now.

You will need to visit YouTube.com and add a line of code to the console. Don't worry, it sounds worse than it really is.

Once you have loaded the site, press the following key combo for your respective browser.

Firefox:

Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+K

Chrome:

Ctrl+Shift+J (Windows)

Cmd+Alt+J (Mac)

Once the console is open, type (or copy) the following line of code:

document.cookie="VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE=ST1Ti53r4fU";

Close the console, refresh the Web page, and like magic, you should now have the new YouTube design.

Users are reporting mixed results with adding the same line of code in Safari. We were unable to get it to work. If you are able to get it to work in Safari, feel free to share how you did it in the comments below.

What are your thoughts on the redesign? Love it, hate it, or don't really care? Let us know!
